Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Playoffs: Semifinals

Playoffs Semifinals

Julian (5th) vs Gino (1st)

The first semifinal matchup features top seeded Gino, who led the league in total points, against fifth seeded Julian, who is just coming off of an upset win. There was a close spread on the game, Gino was a slight favorite, -1.52 (-110). Even though only three of Gino’s players were above their projected totals he started out hot. This team is led by future NFL MVP Cam Newton. Cam had 340 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and five touchdowns passes. He nearly doubled his projected total and scored 41.60 points. Next with Matt forte get a solid day getting 10 points over his project the total was six catches for 57 yards and a touchdown plus 47 rushing yards. He scored 22.40 points. Gino's third player to get above his project total was Antonio Gates and he had six catches for 88 yards to score 14.80 points. Even though he didn't hit his projection total Alan Robinson had a decent game with with three catches for 57 yards and one touchdown. It wasn't quite what Gino was looking for, but still was productive. In what look liked a good match up Brandon Marshall was shut down by his terms with only four catches and 74 yards receiving which gave 11.40 points. The disappointments for Gino was Alshon Jeffrey who only had one catch for 10 yards and a touchdown for 8.00 points then he got hurt and wasn't really involved in the game after that. The other one was Brandon Bolden who only scored 7.40 points on 36 rushing yards and two catches for 18 yards.his Jacksonville defense didn't do much an interception in the sack but also giving up 23 points did you know 3.00 points. And he had a kicker it was Robbie Gould you had 7.00 points. Even though Gino's team looked under productive, but he still nearly scored six points over his projected total (130.30). I’m sure Gino thought as long as he got over his projected total he would be enough since Julian was averaging 117.10 per game. But….Julian said no! Julian had eight of his nine players exceeding their projected totals. Julian's top scorer was Amari Cooper who had his best fantasy day of the year with six catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns to get him a total of 30.00 points. Next up for Julian is Sammy Watkins who has been on a late season surge for scoring points. Watkins had five catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns and scored 28.10 points. Russell Wilson has just been killing it lately had another great day with 3 touchdown passes 249 yards and 46 rushing yards to score 26.56 points. Julian also started one of Wilson's targets, Tyler Lockett had five catches for 55 yards in a touchdown to score 16.50 points. The Seahawks stack lately has been a high-scoring one. Rob Gronkowski gave Julian a quiet 16.40 point performance he had five cases for 54 yards and a touchdown. It just keeps going like this. There was waiver wire pick up Denard Robinson who had eight catches for 46 yards plus 28 rushing yards to get him a total of 15.40 points. Even Julian's defense had a big scoring day the Arizona defense had to fumble recoveries interceptions plus a defense of touchdown to give Julian 17.00 more fantasy points. And he had a kicker is well Chandler Catanzaro made it to double figures, he put up 10.00 points. The one disappointment for Julian who did not hit the projected total was his own Bengal Gio Bernard. He could only muster up 33 rushing yards and 4 catches for 18 receiving yards for measly 9.10 points against that vaunted San Francisco defense. Julian picked a great day to score his highest point total of the season and earning his second straight Biggest Blowout. It was enough to knock out the number 1 seed and top point scorer in the tournament. Gino had a brilliant season. He had an amazing auto draft graciously done for him by the commissioner. But he wheeled and dealed to shake up his lineup to make it into the big powerhouse that it was. Julian tallies up another upset victory on his way to the championship match. He'll be hoping to ride Russell Wilson's hot arm, two rookie wide receivers in Cooper and Lockett, and athletic freak show Gronk into Golden Showers infamy. Julian defeats Gino 169.06 - 130.30.

Rico (3rd) vs Matt H (2nd)

This semifinal matchup features two seasoned veterans of fantasy football. Both Rico and Matt have been here before and knows what it takes to reach the next level. This matchup was projected to be high scoring with both teams getting into the 130 point range. Matt was favored in the matchup, -2.07 (-110). But we all know we can't rely on the project the totals. Rico had for his nine players get about the project the totals in this game. Rico's top scorer was tight end Jordan Reed who had seven catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns to score 27.40 points. Next was waiver wire pick up Tyrod Taylor. He had 235 passing yards 79 rushing yards a two point conversion and two passing touchdowns to score 27.30 points. Finally Julio Jones came back to his old self he had nine catches for 118 yards and one touchdown and got over the 20 point mark for the first time in a month to score 26.80 points. The fourth and final member of Rico's 20 point club was his Bronco wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, he had five catches for 61 yards but two of those were for touchdowns and he scored 23.10 points. Rico did have his fair share of disappointments his two running back's were both no-shows Matt Jones has 28 yards rushing plus a reception for 8 yards to score 4.60 points. Then there is Eddie Lacy who's  "bipolar season" continued and just had 23 yards rushing for 2.30 points. Also it appears lay Fitzgeralds hot start to the season has ended he only caught three passes or 43 yards giving Rico 7.30 points. Rico had a kicker Brandon McManus all he did was kick PAT's he had 3.00 points. The Denver defense got beat up a little but they still had three sacks and two interceptions to score 6.00 points. Rico was just under his project the total by 2.22 points. I'm sure he was thinking that probably wasn't going to be enough points to defeat Matt. But Matt was in for a long day. He only saw three of his players get above their projected totals, and one was the kicker. Matt's top scorer was Matt Stafford who had a 254 yards passing and three touchdowns for 22.06 points and was also the late Monday night push. That was the end of the 20 point scores. His next highest score DeAndre Hopkins at 17.40 points under his projected total even though he had eight catches for 94 yards.  Jarvis Landry also had eight catches but for 54 yards he scored 13.40 points which is also below is projected value. Travis Kelsey scored 13.30 points which was above his projection he had six sketches for 73 yards nothing too impressive. Jeremy Hill just missed his projection by two hundredths of a point. He has 31 yards rushing but two touchdowns and he did lose a fumble. Matt was majorly let down by his running backs. Adrian Peterson only had 63 yards rushing to equal 6.30 points and then Javorius Allan had 18 yards rushing and then he lost a fumble and then he was benched for the rest of the game. He scored -0.20 points. Like I mentioned before Matt had a kicker, Graham Gano, he scored 9.00 points. The Seattle defense wasn't too bad for Matt they scored 9.00 points also. This was very bad timing for Matt who had the longest winning streak in the league this year to also have one of his worst games of the year. Hopefully this defeat will keep Matt motivated during the off-season so he will come back strong next year. Rico was able to get the upset victory and move on to the finals. Rico will be the high seed entering the championship game but his opponent already has two upset victories of his own. Rico needs to come out with a strong lineup in order to take the first-ever Golden Showers Championship. Rico defeats Matt 127.82 - 103.36.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Playoffs: Quarterfinals

Playoffs Quarterfinals

Rico (3rd) vs Reuben (6th)

In the matchup between the kissy face Bronco lovers we have a rematch from Week 12. Reuben squeaked out a win late Sunday Night that week. Reuben was hoping for a repeat, as the 6th seed he will be the underdog throughout the playoffs. Reuben saw four of his nine players get above their projected points. The top scorer was Blake Bortles who had four total TDs one of them a rushing TD. He added 250 passing yards for a score of 25.70 points. One of Reuben’s best pickups of the season was the next highest. DeAngelo Williams had 2 catches for 15 yards, 76 rushing yards, 2TDs for 23.10. The defense Reuben has had all year gave him another great performance. Carolina had a shut out and put up 23.00 points. Heath Miller was a player who did pretty good but nothing spectacular. Ten catches for 66 yards really helped getting Reuben 16.80 points. Jeremy Maclin had a modest six catch 68 yard day and added 12.60 points to Reuben's total. There is also a kicker but kickers are stupid Josh Brown had seven points. Reuben saw some of his players fail in the most inopportune moments. Charcandrick West only had 54 yards against a weak San Diego opponent giving Reuben a measly 5.40 points. Michael Crabtree was against a tough Denver opponent he could only come up with for catches for 19 yards. I don't know how he only got 19 yards but he did and that equaled 25.90 points. And finally just as Thomas Rawls was starting to heat up he snapped his ankle and after only getting 44 rushing yards and Ruben 4.40 points, tough break bud. Rico was the second highest scoring team this season and he was looking for big number to put up in the first round of the playoffs. There were five players for Rico they got above their projected total. Rico's top scorer was tight end Jordan Reed who had nine catches for 120 yards and one touchdown to get a score of 27.00 points. Is next high score was Eddie Lacy. He's back! Lacy had 124 yards rushing with the 24 receiving yards and one touchdown he scored 21.80 points. One of Rico's man crushes Demerius Thomas had a good game he had 10 catches for 95 yards to earn 17.50 points. Julio Jones had a decent game against a tough Carolina pony 88 yards on seven catches was good enough for 15.80 points. Rico rolled the dice with quarterback Brock Osweiler he got  380 yards passing plus 10 rushing yards but what shut out of the end zone, he only had 13.32 points. Rico gambled on another player running back Matt Jones yet to catch is your 24 yards plus 62 rushing yards he scored 10.60 points which was good enough to beat his projected score. Rico also had a kicker Brandon McManus and kicker suck but this guy put up some points he told 13.00 points because his offense could not score touchdowns. Rico had his disappointments and Larry Fitzgerald who only had five catches her 41 yards to get 9.10 points. And the Denver defense who had three sacks and then allow many points but they couldn't get any turnovers they only scored 7.00 points. Reuben was leading this match up throughout the day but once Sunday night rolled around Rico took over the lead for good. Reuben had a good year. He overcame a four game losing streak and won his last two games to get in the playoffs. Rico moves on to the Semifinals to face Matt H. He will hope his high scoring roster will continue to soar against Matt. Rico defeats Reuben 135.12 - 123.90.

Julian (5th) vs Matt M (4th)

This was a matchup between a rookie and a veteran in fantasy football. Matt’s first season saw him win seven of his first nine games, but lose his last four going into the playoffs. Julian’s season was a little different. He was going back and forth between wins and losses all season and just trying to stay above .500. Julian had four of his players get above their projected totals. His top score and quite possibly the hottest player in the NFL right now is Russell Wilson. He had 292 passing yards in 6 yards rushing but had 5 passing touchdowns for 32.28 points this guy may be unstoppable right now. Julian didn't see another player get above 20 points on the day. Sammy Watkins had 19.20 points on five catches 81 yards and a touchdown. Julian always has at least two Bengals going for him any given week this week there were three. The top score was Marvin Jones was six catches for 61 yards to score 12.10 points. Next was Gio Bernard who had three catches for 27 yards and 40 yards rushing. Gio couldn't crack the 10 point mark by only putting up 9.70 points. Finally there is Tyler Eifert who could only get 2 receptions for 42 yards and 6.20 points. He did leave the game with a concussion and it did not look good. Darren Sproles had a serviceable day for Julian he had 2 catches for 4 yards and 41 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown for 12.50 points. Other than a couple Bengals Julian biggest disappointment was Dez Bryant. Bryant could only muster up 1 catch for 9 yards and added a whopping 1.90 points. Julian's kicker Chandler Catanzaro got into double figures (12.00 points) so I guess that's good. And finally the Arizona defense made a few plays on Thursday night and scored 10 points. Matt’s first year was the epitome of beginners luck and he rode that to a great season. Matt had only three of his players get about their project the total. Matt's top score was Ryan Fitzpatrick who lately has been a great play and has been putting up a lot of points. It is no different this week with 263 passing yards and 23 @rushing yards plus 3 passing touchdowns he had 24.82 points. Lamar Miller also had a great game, I mean half. In the first half Miller had two touchdowns and in the second half his team forgot he was on the roster cause he barely saw the ball and Miller's great day could've been an even bigger one for Matt. Delanie Walker has continued to put up good scores, with 7 catches and 71 yards he had 14.10 points. that was all the good news for Matt. He may have out-coached himself and his first ever playoff game. For starting wide receiver he had Danny Amanola who is OK with six catches and 46 yards to put up 10.60 points but there was also DeVonte Parker who only had two catches for 16 yards he put up 3.60 points. He tried to start two tight ends, Austin Saferian Jenkins was in the flex and he only had three catches for 31 yards and 6.10 points. Devonta Freeman has cooled down significantly since his hot start, he had three catches for 22 yards and 40 rushing yards but once again he has failed to see the end zone he only scored 7.20 points. Mats kicker Stephen Hauschka was doing kicker things and had five points. And his Cincinnati defense had a tough day against Pittsburgh they're only 4.00 points scored by them. I say Matt may have out-coached himself because sitting on his bench Randall Cobb and Alan Hurns scored 17.00 points and 19.50 points respectively. With those two in the roster Matt could've won easily. Matt had a great first year by making the playoffs. He has also learned about the pain and suffering fantasy football brings along with the fun. Julian gets the first upset in this year's playoffs. He will have a tough matchup against the number one seed in Gino. Hopefully Julian can get his win and loss flip flopping under control and go on a mini winning streak. Julian defeats Matt 115.88 - 96.32.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 13

Week 13 recap

Gino (9-4) vs Matt H (9-4)

It was a battle for the number 1 seed. Each team brought out the heavy guns to try and take home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Matt did his best by having five of his nine players get over their projected totals. His high scorer was rookie RB Javorius Allen, who had a great game. Allen hauled in 12 catches for 107 yards plus 63 rushing yards giving him 35.00 points. Matt’s QB, Ben Roethlisberger, is back to his old self with 364 yards passing and 4 TDs plus 1 2-pt conversion. Ben scored 33.86 points. These two are going to be key pieces for Matt’s playoff run. DeAndre Hopkins and Shaun Draughn each nearly hit 20 points each. Some players Matt may have to worry about going forward are Jarvis Landry who was coming off his best game of the year and now has a coaching change which produced his worst game the year with a 2 catch for 5 yards performance getting 2.50 points. Adrian Peterson was shut down in his game with only 18 yards rushing and 6 yards receiving which adds up to 6.40 points. Gino’s team just went nutty even though he only had six players of nine get over their projected totals. Starting with the bad the Houston defense got beat up pretty good and scored a total of 0.00 points for Gino. Next  Alshon Jeffrey only had 85 yards receiving on for catches to get  12.50 points. Other then the zero points put up by the defense everyone scored in double digits. Two players scored in the 20s. Two players scored in the 30s. And one player scored over 40 points, and that was Allen and Robinson.  On 10 catches Robinson had 153 yards and three touchdowns to get him 43.30 points. Gino's quarterback Cam Newton had five touchdown passes 331 yards passing and 49 yards rushing he scored 37.14 points. And finally Brandon Marshall at 12 catches for 131 yards receiving and one touchdown which gave him 31.10 points. This supposed close match up ended up being the Biggest Blowout of the week. Gino lands the knockout punch on the league and takes the number one seed away from Matt 192.94 - 138.36.

Rico (7-6) vs Julian (7-6)

Julian was already in the playoffs. There wasn't much more he could do for himself except maintain his seed. He may have been more concerned with resting his stars then playing for the win. Rico still had not clinched yet, and he had the opportunity to get a higher seed. Rico only had three players reach their projected totals this week. His top score was the Denver defense who came back with a vengeance a score of 23.00 points. His next highest was his top running back Mark Ingram who scored 19.90 points on one touchdown and 56 yards rushing and four catches for 23 yards and 1 two point conversion. Rico's tight and Jordan Reed was held in check in his game is only three catches for 33 yards and gaining only 6.30 points. The biggest upset for Rico and maybe for the entire league was the play of Eddie Lacy who had one catch for -3 yards and 4 yards rushing for 1.10 points. Things were not looking good for Rico with his point total looking lower than first projected. Julian had four players get over there projected total. His top score was his quarterback Andy Dalton who had a total of three touchdowns to pass the one rushing into 120 yards passing for 23.90 points. Jillians next highest point scorer was Sammy Watkins, who's late season emergence has propelled Julian into the playoff position he is in today, he had three catches for 109 yards and one touchdown for 19.90 points. Julian still has his three bangle connection plane for him but this time it was Marvin Jones who had five catches for 55 yards and a touchdown getting Julian 16.50 points. There's also equal disappointment for Julian, Geo Bernard had one catch for 9 yards and 26 yards rushing to only score 4.50 points. His other running back Alford Blue had an embarrassing performance with only 14 yards rushing to score 1.40 points. In the end both teams were well below their original projected points but it was Rico who came out victorious and with the when he moved all the way up to the 3rd seed and Julian will have to settle for the 5th seed. Rico beat Julian 118.36 - 91.70.

Josh (5-8) vs Matt M (7-6)

In this match up there was no playoff implications. Matt was already in the playoffs holding onto the number three seed couldn't really lose much ground from that. Josh was in the nine seed train not to lose to have a date with the dice it down. Deafly more to lose for Josh. Josh at five this players get over there project the totals. His top score was his number one wide receiver or Antonio Brown who had a catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns plus one return touchdown for 37.80 points. His neck size score with his other top receiver AJ Green had a great day with five catches 128 yards and one touchdown for 23.80 points. His third player to get over 20 points was his quarterback Carson Palmer who had 356 yards passing and two touchdowns for 22.24 points. And finally new waiver wire pick up David Johnson at 99 yards rushing to catch us for 21 yards and one touchdown to get him 20 points even. A little disappointment for Josh was in Todd Gurley who only had 41 yards rushing for 4.10 points and LeSean McCoy who did get over 100 yards with 112 yards rushing but his 11.20 points were way under his projected total. Matt saw three of his players reach their project the total. He had three players score over 20 points. His top score was his quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who had 390 yards passing two touchdowns plus 22 rushing yards for 25.80 points. Is next highest was his tied in Delaney Walker who had a catchers for 92 yards and one touchdown to give Matt a score of 23.20 points. Matt's third player to get into the 20s was his star running back Devonta Freeman who scored 20.30 points, but it was below his projected total of 21.68 so in reality it wasn't that impressive. It was Matt's defense Cincinnati who is the third team to get over the projected total who had a really good game scoring 16.00 points. The only big disappointment from Matt was his wide receiver Travis Benjamin who got hurt early in the game and didn't produce any scoring for Matt. Both Josh and Matt's teams had lows and highs from their lineups. Josh's team scored two points above their projected total and Matt's team scored two points below their projected total. The only problem was Josh was protected by more than 15 points over Matt. Josh gets the better of Matt and guarantees that he stays away from the Dice of Doom, but it is Matt who is heading to the playoffs as the number 4 seed. Josh wins 145.94 - 125.00.

Reuben (6-7) vs Chris (5-8)

It was so simple for Reuben, win and you're in. Chris on the other hand had upset on his mind and with a little help could quite possibly sneak into these playoffs. Chris has three players get above their project the totals. Tom Brady was the lead score for Chris who had 312 yards passing three passing touchdowns plus one rushing touchdown to score all the points are the Patriots and give Chris 34.78 points. The second high score was Martavis Bryant who had a huge game with four catches and 114 yards and one touchdown to give Chris 21.40 points. Then always consistent Greg Olsen headed nine catch game for 129 yards to score 19.90 points. Chris is running backs hurt him in this week. Ronnie Hillman only had 56 rushing yards for 5.60 points and Darren McFadden had 53 yards rushing, 1 catch for 6 yards and 1 touchdown, but it was his 2 fumbles that really hurt his point total only scoring 8.90 points. Ruben had four players get over there projected totals. It's tough score was Blake Bardahl's at 322 passing yards and five touchdowns for 32.78 points. His other player to get above 20 points was Jeremy Macklin who had nine catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns for 28.50 points. Brandon LaFell did not help anyone's cause with only 4 catches for 27 yards scoring 6.70 points and Charcandrick West had 2 catches for 9 yards plus 35 rushing yards for a grand total of 6.40 points. It was also an unusual game for the Carolina defense who had their season low of 3.00 points for the day. Both teams are evenly matched throughout the day but it was Reuben's stars who shined a little bit brighter than Chris's. Reuben clinches the 6th and final playoff spot while with the loss Chris is in play for the Dice of Doom. Reuben wins 136.48 - 126.98.

AJ (6-7) vs Mike (4-9)

Both AJ and Mike needed to win, but both will need help to get to where they want to be. AJ's team came out firing with Aaron Rodgers having his unbelievable Thursday night game with 273 yards passing with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown to give AJ 26.62 points. AJ's top scorer Odell Beckham Jr had six catches for 149 points and one touchdown for 26.90 points. The third member of the 26 point club was Doug Baldwin who had 5 catches for 94 yards and 2 touchdowns to give AJ 26.40 points. Three other players were over there projected totals for AJ. Latavius Murray had a strong game with 86 yards rushing and a touchdown plus 4 catches for 11 yards to score 19.70 points. The Kansas City defense had a strong game to give AJ 17.00 more points. He's only big letdown was CJ Anderson who had one catch for 12 yards and 42 yards rushing to only get 6.40 points. Mike had four of his his guys get over that their project the totals. His top scorer was his TE Richard Rogers, who was the beneficiary to Aaron Rodgers play, he had 8 catches for 146 yards plus the Hail Mary touchdown to give Mike 28.60 points. Brandon cooks had a good game for Mike six catches for 104 yards and one touchdown gave him 22.40 points. And Jonathan Stewart had 82 yards rushing, 3 catches for 31 yards and a TD to get Mike 18.30 points. Mike's receiver James Jones had a disappointing game one catch for 19 yards to only get Mike to .90 points. Also his quarterback Eli Manning had a dud of a game. He had 297 passing yards and one touchdown but also had an interception, he scored 15.08 points which is below his projected total. AJ did his part with a dominant performance to get the win, but the help was not there for him. AJ misses out on a playoff spot and lands in the 7th seed. With the loss Mike is able to clinch the inaugural roll of the Dice of Doom. Congrats for that. AJ wins 153.02 - 132.68.

Can Newton played and had 183 passing yards one rushing touchdown and 45 rushing yards for 17.82 points slightly below his projected total. Alshon Jeffrey also played and had seven catches for 9 yards which gave them 16 points again slightly under his projected value. In the same game at for taking back from injury he had 44 rushing yards want to catch for 9 yards and six point 30 points way under his projected value. And finally Gino's kicker Robbie Gould scored 5.00 points, slightly under his project the total. Do you know only had three players get above their projections. His top score Brandon Marshall had a huge day with nine catches 131 yards and two touchdowns for 34.10 points. His next score top score Antonio Gates had four catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns which gave him 21.30 points. Also the researching Houston defense gave Gino a double-digit score in 11 points for the day. Matt had Randall Cobb play on Thanksgiving night. He had a pretty good game six catches for Sunday for yard switch scored 13.40 points slightly below is projected total. Matt had four players get above their projections. It's tough score Stevie Johnson had seven catches for 92 yards and a touchdown which gave him 22.20 points. And Travis Benjamin on Monday Night had six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown for 22.00 points. Matt’s defense, Cincinnati, put a hurting on the team they were playing and scored 17 points. Matt's roster did see history this week, for the first time in 54 games Drew Brees did not throw touchdown. Brees only had 228 passing yards and an interception to score 8.12 points, which is a season low. Matt stews running backs were disappointments from our Miller only had two rushing yards 11 receiving yards and three catches for 4.30 points and Tevin Coleman added 110 yard rushing day with one fumble but only put up 9.00 points. Gino ends up getting the big win to capture second place for now 140.32 - 114.12.

Reuben (5-7) vs Rico (6-6)

In the Bronco Buddy Battle Rico is once again in a match up with a team trying to get into the playoffs while he's trying to hang onto his spot. Rico just had one player going on Thanksgiving day. Eddie Lacy finally came back to life with 105 yards rushing for catches and one touchdown to score 21.90 points doubling his projected total. Reuben had three players going on Thanksgiving, his top scorer of the Friday was his defense Carolina who put up 21.00 points. That was the good news the bad news was Jason Witten had a poor game with only four catches in 36 yards to score 7.60 points and the Marco Murray could only muster up 30 rushing yards to give Reuben 3.00 points. Waiver wire pick up Spencer where are you warded Rico with 114 rushing yards three catches the one touchdown for 20.50 points Jordan Reed also had a good day with a catch is 98 yards for 17.80 points and Larry Fitzgerald who had 10 catches for 66 yards for 16.50 points had a good game even though it was slightly below is projected total. Thomas Rawls also had a good game with 81 rushing yards and a touchdown to score 14.10 points. This matchup came down to Sunday Night with between these two Bronco lovers four Broncos were playing. Reuben had a 0.70 point lead with Rico having Demaryius Thomas, Brandon McManus, and the Denver defense. All Reuben had was Emmanuel Sanders. With the Denver defense starting the season was six consecutive double digits scoring games they have now scored five single-digit games including this week with only 5.00 points scored. McManus had a pedestrian day was three PAT's made and one field goal for only 6.00 points. And superstar number one wide receiver Demaryius Thomas forgot he was playing football at all that day. He only recorded one catch for 36 yards on 13 targets and gave Rico 4.60 points. Three guys got Rico 15.60 points. Emmanuel Sanders had 6 catches for 113 yards in that game and single handedly out scored his three teammates with 17.30 points. That was enough to get Reuben a win and have him slide into the last playoff spot. With the loss Rico still holds onto a playoff spot. Reuben wins 116.50 to 114.10.

Chris (5-7) vs AJ (5-7)

Going into this match up AJ was in the last playoff spot needing a win to hold onto it. While Chris still sees a glimmer of hope of having a playoff run of his own. AJ had his QB Aaron Rodger play on Thanksgiving night. Rogers was below his project the total was 202 passing yards 33 rushing yards and one touchdown which only gave him 14.38 points. Also, Chris Johnson went out with a broken leg after only getting 17 yards to score 1.70 points. Chris made his come back on Sunday Night with his Patriot stack. Stephen Gostkowski scored 7.00 points and Tom Brady gave Chris 280 yards passing and three touchdowns for 23.20 points. Chris keeps his season alive by knocking AJ out of a playoff spot for now. Chris wins 114.90 - 100.78.

Julian (7-5) vs Josh (4-8)

Julian just needs win and he’s in the playoffs. Josh needs a win to stay alive or else he is eliminated. Julian started the week on Thanksgiving Day starting Matt Stafford who had his best day of the year. Stafford had 5 TDs with 337 yards passing and 13 yards rushing for 34.78 points. His kicker Mason Crosby also add a 9.00 points. These are two of Julian's six players to get over there projected total. Dez Bryant unfortunately was not one who also played on Thursday. He only had two catches for 26 yards and 4.60 points. Jillians a double I didn't attack both went out with injury but not before each went over their projected total. Tyler Eifert had a touchdown on three catches and 40 yards to score 13.00 points and Rob Gronkowski had six sketches for 88 yards and one touchdown for 20.80 points. But it does not look good for Jelane go heading into the playoffs. Unfortunately for Josh he had a below average day. Only two of his one players hit their projected totals. His top scorer AJ Green scored 24.10 points on six catches 61 yards and two touchdowns. His other player to reach over his projected total bliss is kicker Justin Tucker or 10 points. LeSean McCoy had another good day for Josh even though he was under his project total yet 70 rushing yards 31 receiving yards and one touchdown for 17.10 points. Josh was really let down by his running backs Frank Gore only put up 5.70 points on 24 yards rushing to catch his and 13 yards receiving. And Todd Gurley only had 19 rushing yards and I'll let him receiving yards on one catch putting up a measly 4.00 points. Thursdays deficit was too much for Josh to over come. Julian punches his tickets into the playoffs while Josh tries to stay away from the Dice of Doom. Julian wins 131.48 - 106.74.

Matt H (9-3) vs Mike (4-8)

Matt had already clinched a playoff spot while Mike was desperately seeking a win to stay alive. Both teams had players going on Thursdays Thanksgiving day. Matt had his kicker Graham Gano who gave him a healthy 19 point head start. While Mike had a handful of players going trying to get him a fast start. His kicker, Dan Bailey, was also playing and only put up 7.00 points. Mike’s Tight End also started, Richard Rogers, who had 4 catches for 30 yards and 7.00 points. Jonathan Stewart and 10.70 points on 68 rushing yards and 3 catches for 9 yards. A little disappointment for Mike as he started James Jones who did not see any action and put up a 0.00 points. But the great news for Mike's top score Calvin Johnson had an amazing day with eight catches 93 yards and three touchdowns for 35.30 points is best of the season. Mike only had two of his players get above the project is Charles Megatron and also Eli Manning. Manning at 321 passing yards and two touchdowns his 17.84 points could've been higher if it were not for his three interceptions though. Matt saw seven of his players get above the projected totals. His top score was Jarvis Landry who had 13 catches for 165 yards and one touchdown and that totaled 35.90 points. That's number one running back Adrian Peterson also had a great day with 158 yards rushing at 29 yards receiving and two touchdowns for 32.70 points. Matt's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also had a big day with 456 yards passing with one touchdown and one two point conversion for 24.04 points. The one low point on Matts’ roster was DeAndre Hopkins who had a rare low-scoring game, five catches for 36 yards and only 8.60 points. This matchup turned out to be the biggest blowout of the week. Matt still retains his number 1 seed while Mike still retains his number 10 seed. Matt wins 178.14 - 101.14.

We have first place versus last place in this match up with the first place team, Matt, a heavy favorite over Mike. Matt start of the scoring Thursday night with Delanie Walker who had 109 yards on a catches scoring 18.90 points. However that was the end of the good news for Matt. He was mats only player to get over his project the total. From the same game Matt's QB played in Mike had Ryan Tannehill play who scored at 15.82 points with two touchdowns 188 yards passing and 13 rushing yards. Mike's top scorer was Doug Martin who had 235 yards rushing getting like 23.50 points. Jonathan Stewart had 102 rushing yards one catch for 12 yards and a touchdown for 18.40 points. Mike's disappointments for the week where his wide receivers Davante Adams only have three catches for 35 yards giving him 6.60 points and Michael Floyd didn't even playing his game and got 0.00 points. But it was good enough to give Mike his first Biggest Blowout. This is Matt's fifth consecutive time on the Biggest Blowout but second consecutive time being the victim. Mike knocks Matt from the top of the standings 95.82 - 70.28.

Matt H (8-3) vs Chris (4-7)

In the final match up of the bottom three teams playing the top three teams Chris was slightly favored against Matt 131.95 to 124.45. DeAndre Hopkins had another great game with 118 receiving yards on five catches and two touchdowns he scored 28.80 points. Matt's other player was Graham Gano, kicker, who had 16 points. Matt took a 22.30 point lead into Monday night. Matt had his quarterback Tyrod Taylor going and  Chris had his quarterback Tom Brady and kicker Stephen Gostkowski going. The low score a Monday night football game favored Matt. Tom Brady had 277 passing yards one touchdown the one interception for 14.08 points Gostkowski pitched in 8.00 points of his own. For a total 22.03 points not quite good enough to take the lead from Matt even if Taylor scored zero points. Taylor ended up getting a pathetic 9.42 points. Matt wins a low-scoring match and jumps back into first place 103.22 - 93.58.

Julian (6-5) vs Reuben (4-7)

Julian and Reuben are both right on that playoff bubble. Reuben only had one position to get over the project the total. That was the Carolina defense scored 16 points. The next high score was his quarterback Blake Bortles at 11.58 points are 242 yards passing one touchdown and one fumble. Reubens two Kansas City players Jeremy Maclin and Charcandrick West had poor games. Maclin had 5.90 points on three catches for 29 yards and West who got hurt in the game only scored 8.40 points. Julian had four players over there projected totals. A lineup change lead to Julian's top scorer Russell Wilson was a starter and it paid off with 3 touchdowns 260 yards passing and 30 yards rushing for 25.40 points. Julian's two Bengals Gio Bernard and Tyler Eifert had good days. Bernard scored 22.60 points on 128 receiving yards on 8 catches and 18 rushing yards. Eifert had 17.20 points with three catches for 22 yards and 2 touchdowns. And one of his season long top scorers Justin Forsett went out with an injury after only rushing for 26 yard and 2.60 points. Julian wins another low-scoring matchup for this week and in the process knocks Reuben out of the playoff picture for now 103.40 - 82.28.

Rico (6-5) vs AJ (5-6)

This was an important matchup between Rico, who is trying to hold onto his playoff spot, and AJ, who's trying to sneak into the playoffs. AJ only had two players to get above the projected totals. His Kansas City defense scored 20 points and Danny Amanola who had nine catches for 117 yards and 20.70 points. Aaron Rodgers didn't quite hit his projected total but still had a good game with 212 yards passing and two touchdowns with one to point conversion for 19.08 points. Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 10

Week 10 recap

Chris (4-6) vs Matt M (7-3)

This is your classic David versus Goliath scenario. First place Matt against ninth place Chris. Matt’s team may have playoffs already on the mind but they still need to handle business this week. Only 3 of Matt’s starting line up hit their projected points. His top scorer was Lamar Miller who scored 21.30 points on 43 yards rushing, 6 catches for 50 yards, and a TD. Ryan Mathews was only projected for 8.27 points, but Matt started him anyways and was rewarded with 12.00 points. Drew Brees finally came back down to Earth with a disappointing 14.36 points on 209 yards passing, 2 TDs, and @ INTs. Brees’ teammate Marques Colston got a rare start but did nothing with it only getting 3 catches for 22 yards and 5.20 points. Matt also had no help from his flex position in Martellus Bennett and his 4.80 points. Chris was barely better with 4 players over their projected points. Mike Evans was the high with 20.60 points on 8 catches and 126 yards. Greg Olsen had another good game with 8 catches and 80 yards for 16.00 points. Chris saw his RB duo in Darren McFadden and Duke Johnson Jr. only combine for 15.60 points. The two lowest scorers for Chris were, coincidently, Rams players. Tavon Austin only had 4.30 points and the Rams Defense got smacked around and put up 2.00 points. With most off Matt’s players done in the morning games he held a slight lead, Chris still had a Patriot stack. Tom Brady had 334 yards, 2 TDs, and a fumble for 19.26 yards. The other half of the stack is Stephen Gostkowski who put another double digit performance (11.00 points). On Sunday Night all Matt had was his kicker Steven Hauschka (9.00 points) and it wasn’t enough. Once again David takes down Goliath. Chris’s win snaps Matt’s 3 games win streak and 3 game Biggest Blowout streak. Chris wins his first Biggest Blowout with the smallest margin of the year (11.20 points). Chris wins a close one 103.06 - 91.86.

AJ (5-5) vs Reuben (4-6)

AJ and Reuben entered this week both 4-5 and both battling for the last playoff spot. Reuben had a tough week. He only saw 1 of his players get their projected total, his kicker. Josh Brown did have a good game with his 16.00 points, which was third in scoring for Reuben. Reuben’s top scorer was DeMarco Murray who had 61 rushing yards, 6 catches, and 58 receiving yards for 17.90 points. Blake Bortles had a quiet 2 TD game with only 188 yards passing for 17.02 points, but at least he didn’t start Peyton Manning who’s 35 yards passing and 4 INT day gave him -2 points. Too bad though he left Charcandrick West on the bench who had 161 total yards and a TD for 31.10 points. AJ had 5 of his 9 starters get over their projections. His team was led by Aaron Rodgers who had 333 yards passing and 2 TDs for 22.12 points. Two other players got over 20 points for AJ; Odell Beckham Jr. had 104 yards receiving on 4 catches and a TD for 20.40 points and Eric Decker and 6 catches for 85 yards and a TD for 20.50 points. Continued fantasy football surprise, Gary Barnidge, went 6 catches for 65 yards and a TD for 18.50 points. One of the biggest disappointments of the match was CJ Anderson who only had 9 yards rushing for 0.90 points. Each team had a player get a 0.00 for the day. Emmanuel Sanders for Reuben and Willie Snead for AJ. They each cancel each other out, no harm no foul. Since Week 4 AJ has been alternating wins and losses. AJ wins a close one 100.12 - 95.12.

Mike (3-7) vs Josh (3-7)

Once again Josh was in a battle to stay out of the league cellar, but this time it was with Mike. This weeks matchup started on Thursday night. Josh had Cory Ivory (13.50 points) and Mike threw out the Jets defense (5.00 points). Even though Josh was right at his total point projection only 3 of his 9 starters hit there projections. The high scorer of the game was Antonio Brown who had 10 catches, 139 yards, and 2 TDs for 37.90 points. Josh decided to gamble and start Derek Carr. Carr scored 19.28 points he threw over 300 yards and broke even with 2 TDs and 2 picks. The low point for Josh was his TE position. Ben Watson, who had been on fire of late, only had 3 catches for 19 yards and 4.90 points. Mike’s top scorer was Watson’s teammate, Brandin Cooks. Cooks had 5 catches for 98 yards and 2 TDs for 27.90 points. Eli Manning had a pretty good game for Mike scoring 21.44 points on 361 yards passing and 2 TDs, plus a lost fumble. Five of Mike’s nine starters hit their projected totals. Even though Doug Martin (14.30 points) and Calvin Johnson (14.10 points) were technically under the points each still had strong performances for Mike. The battle for last place came down to Monday Night with Mike having a 10.63 point lead. Josh had AJ Green starting who was projected for 18.42 points. For whatever reason the Bengals weren’t feeding Green. It was a long game and slowly Josh and Green finally hit the 11 point mark, it was much lower then his projection but good enough for a 1.04 point lead in the match up. As the Bengals were driving down the field to set up a game winning TD Green catches a pass to pad his fantasy stats but before he hit the ground the ball was knocked lost and recovered by the defense. Green had a lost fumble and -2 points. That was the last meaning full play of the game. Mike wins a close one 132.74 - 131.78.

Matt H (7-3) vs Rico (5-5)

Two winning teams who both have playoff aspirations. Matt only saw 4 of his 9 starters reach their projected points. Matt’s team was led by one of the few remaining stud running backs left in Adrian Peterson. Peterson has 203 yards rushing, 2 catches for 13 yards, and a TD for 29.60 points. No one else on the team was over 20 points. Jarvis Landry was closest with 18.80 point son 7 catches 52 yards and a TD. one week after his biggest game of the year Jordan Matthews only scored 5.10 points for Matt. Tyron Taylor also had an underwhelming game throwing for 158 yards and a TD for 11.52 points. Rico also had only 4 of his starter get above their projected points. Rico gambled and hit big by starting Kirk Cousins who had 324 passing yards and 4 TDs for 28.96 points. Larry Fitzgerald keeps putting up points with 10 catches and 130 yards for 23.points. A literal tough break for Rico and Julian Edelman who broke his foot during his game. Too bad he only went 4 catches for 53 yards and 9.30 points. Rico’s big let down was his Denver Defense and Denver Kicker who only scored 1 point each. None the less, Rico had a 15.54 point lead going into Monday Night. Matt ran out DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins was shut down in the first half of the game, largely due to his own team not giving him the ball, but in the second half he went off. Hopkins ended the game with 5 catches for 57 yards and 1 TD for 16.70 points, which was just enough for Matt. Matt wins a close one 124.92 - 123.76.

Gino (7-3) vs Julian (5-5)

Gino and Julian are both in the playoff hunt. This matchup was for Julian to get a better seed and Gino trying to keep pace for the number 1 spot. Julian’s team was led by Rob Gronkowski who has 113 yards on 5 catches and a TD for 22.30 yards. No other player for Julian went over 20 points. Hell, no other player got to 13 points. Gronk was the only player for Julian to get to his projected total. Dez Bryant had a great comeback game last week was shut down this week only going 5 for 45 and 9.50 points. Amari Cooper did ok for Julian with 5 catches and 79 yards but only getting 12.90 points, which was good enough for second highest scorer. Gino’s tam was not much better even though he had 4 players get above their projections. Gino’s top scorer was his QB Cam Newton who put up 20.98 points on 217 yards passing, 23 yards rushing, and 1 TD passing and rushing. Marshawn Lynch had 12.00 points on 42 yards rushing and 1 TD but his projections was a low 7.39 points. Gino’s two big let downs were an oft injured Alshon Jeffery, who only had 5.30 points on 3 catches and 23 yards, and Julius Thomas, who had 4.30 points on 2 catches and 23 yards. Going into Monday Night Julian only had 63.10 points, but he heavily relies on the Bengals offense to win him games. Unfortunately for him they choked. Andy Dalton had his worst game of the year with 197 yards passing, 31 yards rushing, and 1 INT for 9.98 points. Tyler Eifert didn’t help any with his worst game of the season. He had 3 catches for 26 yards and 3 horrible drops to give him 5.60 points. The best of the three of Julian’s beloved Bengals was Gio Bernard who had 36 rushing yards and 5 catches for 43 yards for 12.90 points. The three combined for 28.48 points. Gino wins a close one 101.68 - 91.58.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 9

Week 9 recap

Matt M (7-2) vs Rico (5-4)

Yea this one wasn’t fair. Rico only had one player get over his projected total. Julio Jones was the bright spot. Jones scored 23.70 points on 10 catches for 137 yards. Thats it for Rico. Matt Ryan was just under his projection scoring 16.32 points on 303 yards passing and 1 TD. Mark Ingram had 13.60 point on 96 total yards and 4 catches, and Julian Edelman’s 14.50 points was under his projection. Eddie Lacy had was biggest disappointment with only 10 yards and a fumble for -1.00 points. Rico’s new WR Demaryius Thomas only put up 10 points, 5 catches for 50 yards. His Denver kicker and Defense each scored season lows this week. Rico did have some bench players to out score starters, but it didn’t matter what combination he used nothing would have worked. Matt’s team just dominated. He had 7 of his 9 players get over their projected score. Three players were over 30 points. Drew Braes had another great game with 387 yards passing, 3 TDs, and 1 rushing TD for 32.38 points. Delanie Walker had 7 catches, 95 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 2-point conversion for 30.50. Keeping it in the family, Matt saw cousin Lamar have 44 rushing yards and 7 catches for 97 yards and 2 TDs for 33.10 points. One of Matt’s players the didn’t hit his projection was his stud, Devonta Freeman. He only had a measly 21.90 points. Every player was in double digits except one. Matt was going for the all time record for points scored in a week but Malcom Floyd injured himself early in the Monday Night game and left with 0 points. Boo Hoo. Matt wins his third straight and fourth overall Biggest Blowout 181.48 - 100.92.

Josh (3-6) vs Chris (3-6)

in what appeared to be a matchup of teams just trying to avoid last place and the Dice of Doom, it was just that. Chris had 4 players get over their projected totals. His team was led by Jeremy Langford who had 72 rushing yards, 3 catches for 70 yards, and a TD for 25.20 points. Mike Evans also added 21 points on 8 catches for 150 yards. Greg Olsen had another solid day with 16.60 points. Chris had good contributions from Martavis Bryant (12.10 points) and Darren McFadden (13.20 points) even though they were under their projections. The all world QB, Tom Brady, had his worst fantasy day. It was the first time he did not break 20 points (18.86 points). The start of Ronnie Hillman was the real head scratcher. Chris took out Danny Woodhead (23.10 points on the bench), who had been winning him weeks, for Hillman, who ended up getting hurt after gaining a whole yard (0.10 points). None of this seemed to matter in the end. Josh was really in competition with the highest score of the day and Biggest Blowout. Josh’s top three scorers had more points the Chris’s top guy. DeMarco Murray had his best day with 6 catches for 78 yards, 83 rushing yards, and a TD for 28.10 points. Waiver wire pick up and bye week fill in Derek Carr had a 4 TD game and 301 yards passing for 27.34 points. Finally for Josh the real Antonio Brown showed up. Brown had a Steelers franchise record 17 catches for 284 yard, plus 22 yards rushing for 45.60 points. Seven of Josh’s nine players exceeded the projected totals. Stefon Diggs had a season low 3 catches for 42 yards for 7.20 points, the first time he was held to single digits. Chris’s three game winning streak is snapped. Josh wins a blowout 175.04 - 119.06.

Julian (5-4) vs AJ (4-5)

A couple of 4-4 teams faced off in this match up. AJ and Julian both in playoff contention each needs the win to keep pace. Julian started the scoring on Thursday night with his triple threat of Bengals starting. Two of the three Bengals went over their projected totals. Andy Dalton scored 21.86 points from 234 yards passing and 3 TDs. Good thing for Julian all three of those TDs went to his TE Tyler Eifert. Three TDs on 5 catches and 53 yards was good enough for 28.30 points. Gio Bernard round out the scoring for Julian on Thursday with a disappointing 9.60 points, projected 13.29 points. AJ had a lot of catching up to do with Julian and his 59.76 point lead. AJ had a good start from Aaron Rodgers who ended up with 33.96 points from 369 yards passing and 4 TDs. Eric Decker also added 19.90 points, which was over his projected total. Odell Beckham Jr had a decent game, as well, scoring 19.50 points on 105 receiving yards and 9 catches, but he was just a touchdown away from having a great day, too bad. In addition to Julian's hot start his two WR Dez Bryant and Amari Cooper scored over 20 points each and over the project the totals. Seven of the nine players AJ had were under their project the totals. CJ Anderson had another disappointing day only scoring 4.80 points. AJ was really let down by the Green Bay defense who scored -2 points. Even though both of Julian's RBs were under their projected total, Gio Bernard and Chris Sims, as well as, Rob Gronkowski who only got half of his projected score, Julian did manage to get well over his original projected score for the week. Julian wins 132.86 - 110.16.

Gino (6-3) vs Mike (2-7)

In a battle of two teams at opposite ends of the standing this match up was about mediocrity. Gino and Mike each had only 4 players over their projected totals. Of the eight total players over their projections none of them really had huge games. Both teams left their highest scoring player on the bench. Both teams Defense was a top scorer; both teams stared a New York Defense. Through Sunday Gino’s top scorer was Allen Robinson who had 121 yards on 6 catches for 18.10 points. The other half to Gino’s Jaguar duo was TJ weldon who got 13.10 points on 101 total yards and 3 catches. Brandon Marshall salvaged his day with a TDs on only 4 catches and 44 yards for 14.40 points. Gino’s only let down was Rashad Jennings who only scored 5.70 points, but his projection was only 7.74. Seven of nine players scored in double digits for Gino. Mike’s team was highlighted by his two WRs. Brandin Cooks had 4 catches for 71 yards and a TD for 17.10 points and Davante Adams had 93 yards on 7 catches plus a 2-point conversion for 18.30 points. Mike’s two other players to get over their projections were his kicker and defense. Mike QB, Eli, had a usual subpar Manning day. He threw for just over 200 yard with 2 TDs and 2 INTs, just like his big brother. Mike’s RBs were his demise. Doug Martin (4.30 points ) and Jonathan Stewart (7.80 points) were both well under their projected totals. Heath Miller also failed with 6.20 points. On Mike’s bench he saw RB Shane Vereen (14.30 points) and TE Jacob Tamme (12.10 points) out score the starters. After all of it Mike took a 36.52 point lead into Monday Night, but Gino still had 4 players remaining. Top scorer Alshon Jeffery had 10 catches for 151 yards for 25.10 points. Even though Philip Rivers had a disappoint fantasy day with 15.20 points it was enough to put Gino over the top. Gino only had 3 point more than his projected total and Mike scored 10 less than his. Gino wins 119.50 - 100.82.

Reuben (4-5) vs Matt H (6-3)

Matt came limping into this week after starting out 6-0 and now has lost his last two games. Reuben was also struggling, on a 4 game losing streak of his own. Something had to give. Each side had big waiver pick up in the week and that they hoped would pay out big. The good news was both teams went over their projected totals. Matt had big games from Ben Roethlisberger (22.36 points), Jordan Matthews (28.30 points), and Adrian Peterson (22.30 points). Each player scored either their highest or second highest point total of the season. Matt also saw newly acquired Jarvis Landry score another 20.06 points. Unfortunately for Matt his waiver pick up, Vernon Davis, did nothing and helped his team with a zero. Donte Moncrief was shut down in his game and didn’t even get half his projected total, only getting 6.00 points. A couple tough breaks for Matt happened in the week. Big Ben got hurt again, but at least it was near the end of the game. But the big blow was the loss of Dion Lewis. Not only did he only score 9.30 points, but he was injured and is now done for the season. Reuben had a little better day. He had two WR get over 20 points; Emanuel Sanders (21 points) and Michael Crabtree (29.80). Crabtree had a huge day for Reuben but he wasn’t the highest scorer. Reuben won the waiver wire this week with his pick up of DeAngelo Williams who put up 38.50 points. Josh Brown had an unbelievable game with 17.00 points as a kicker. Peyton Manning had his usual subpar game with under 300 yards passing, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Reuben’s only bad move was to leave Manning in, he had Blake Bortles on the bench who put up 22.44 points. Reuben breaks his losing streak and Matt continues his. Reuben wins 159.74 - 122.32.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 8

Week 8 recap

Rico (5-3) vs Josh (2-6)

This was a high-powered offensive match up. Rico's top scorer Julio Jones needed overtime to put up 32.20 points and Alshon Jeffrey added another 27.60 points. Rico's third receiver Julian Edelman added another 27.10 points. His running backs Mark Ingram and Marshall Lynch where his lowest scorers who got 15.90 and 10.20 points. It what was a huge disappointment for the Denver defense this week, they were held to single digits for the first time. Josh's team is led by QB Carson Palmer who had 374 passing yards and 4 touchdowns with your aunt and 30.56 points. Todd Gurley and Stefon Diggs both got over 20 points. Ben Watson, a bye week pick up, had nine catches 147 yards and a touchdown got him 29.70 points. Josh had his highest point total of the year and would have beaten anyone else this week. Rico gets the big win 168.58 - 156.76.

AJ (4-4) vs Matt H (6-2)

This matchup started on Thursday night Matt had Dion Lewis score 23.20 points and AJ had Rishard Matthews score 13.20 points. Matt's top receiver DeAndre Hopkins scored 23.40 points on 8 catches 94 yards and a touchdown. And that was the last of the good news for Matt. Corey Ivory scored 7.10 points and Donte Moncrief only had 3.80 points. AJ's top receiver Odelle Beckham Jr had 8 catches 130 yards and three touchdowns which gave him 39 points. Aaron Rodgers who came back from a bye was shut down on Sunday night and only scored 6.18 points. In that same game CJ Anderson had his best game of the season with 17.60 points. Everyone else did decent for AJ but it was Justin Tucker in the kicker spot that scored 20 points to put the match out of reach. Matt has a losing streak. AJ wins 147.18 - 113.78.

Mike (2-6) vs Julian (4-4)

Juliens week started a good Rob Gronkowski scored 23.30 points on six catches 113 yards and a touchdown. The rest of the week was not so good. Seven of the eight remaining players wear under the projected totals. Only the kicker went over his projection. Both receivers underperforming, both RBs underperformed. The all Bengals offensive attack let Julian down this week. Between Mike's defense the Jets and his flex position James Jones they combined for total of .20 points. In the fantasy game of the week with the Giants vs the Saints Mike had Saints top receiver Brandin Cooks scored 26.50 points and Giants quarterback Eli Manning who scored 38.00 points. Mike's outing was decent enough but compared to Julian's dismal performance Mike gets the win 113.70 - 84.84.

Chris (3-5) vs Gino (5-3)

Chris's top score Tom Brady had another great week with 30.34 points. His receivers Mike Evans and Martavis Bryant both were under the projected totals as well as his running backs Danny Woodhead and Duke Johnson Jr. Luckily the Rams defense help Chris out by putting up 12 points. Gino's quarterback Philip Rivers put up a modest 24.04 points and saw his receiver Brandon Marshall put up 19.80 points. On Sunday night Gino saw Demerius Thomas have eight catches for 168 yards which scored 24.80 points. Gino took a three point lead into Monday night. Chris had Panthers TE Greg Olsen and Gino had Colts top WR TY Hilton. Chris outscores Gino 19.90 to 2.50 points on Monday night. Chris pulls off the upset and wins 123.84 - 108.74.

Matt M (6-2) vs Reuben (3-5)

This weeks biggest blowout was not even fair. Matt had top score Drew Brees who through for seven touchdowns and over 500 yards and got 46.30 points. Matt's kicker and defense also crushed their projected totals this week. Keenan Allen had a short day who left the game early but not after catching five passes for 35 yards and a touchdown but with a lacerated kidney he is done for the year. Reuben saw not one, not two, but three of his players to go down with injury to be lost for the year. Reggie Bush didn't score a point after being taken out by the shotty Rams stadium. LeVeon Bell was bent the wrong way and he left early only scoring 7.80 points. And Steve Smith tore his Achilles but not after he had 13.20 points so that's some good news. AJ Green was a bright spot for Reuben at 11 catches 118 yards and a touchdown and score 28.80 points. None of that was close enough as Reuben is the victim of the biggest blowout for the third time in the last four weeks. Matt cruises 153.40 - 87.20.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 7 recap

Week 7 recap

Gino (5-2) vs Rico (4-3)

Battle of the brothers. Rico had big games from Julio Jones 24.20 points and Mark Ingram 22.80 points. Unfortunately Larry Fitzgerald 6.90 points and Jimmy Graham 5.10 points didn't show up for him. Gino's top two guys had big days in losing efforts. Philip Rivers 27.44 points and TY Hilton 31.00 points score the points in garbage time. But Allen Roberts in was Gino's third player to get over 20 points, 21.80 points, that was the difference maker. For a second week in a row Gino starts a player with zero points and still gets the win. Little brother wins 129.29 - 109.34.

Julian (4-3) vs Matt H (6-1)

Down goes Matt! Julian is the giant killer he had two huge performances by Rob Gronkowski 27.80 points and Amari Cooper 24.30 points. Matt had let downs by nearly his whole roster. Just Ryan Tannehill and his for touchdown showed up. The real reason for the loss came from Jordan Matthews who only got 4 points. Julian defeats the undefeatable 125.30 - 117.98.

Josh (2-5) vs Reuben (3-4)

Here's a matchup of two struggling teams. Josh had his stud running back Todd Gurley who carried his team on his back with 32.30 points. DeMarco Murray was a disappointment for Josh with only 9 points. Reuben's team was less than stellar. His leading scorer what was Michael Crabtree who had 18.30 points. No one player really stood out for Reuben. Josh finally gets a win since week one 125.00 - 103.58.

Matt M (5-2) vs AJ (3-4)

Matt versus AJ is this weeks blowout. AJ is let down by his whole team is high score was Rishard Matthews three catches 75 yards and a touchdown for 16.50 points. Aaron Rodgers was on a bye so he gambled with Landry Jones and lost. He only got 8.16 points for the quarterback position. Matt had two horrible performances by his wide receivers; Andre Johnson who had another lame day for 8.40 points and Vincent Jackson who got hurt during the game and only scored 2.30 points. It was Matt's cousin Lamar Miller who had an amazing day with 236 total yards and two touchdowns and scored 38.60 points. Matt wins 120.50 - 88.66.

Chris (2-5) vs Mike (1-6)

This was the battle for last place. Mike got fucked two consecutive good games from Andrew luck who scored 26.02 points. Mike also saw Arian Foster have a great day with 29.50 points but Foster suffered a season ending injury during the game. Doug Martin put in 20 more points but it was Leonard Hankerson who killed Mike scored zero points for the day. Chris saw his quarterback Tom Brady scored 29.20 points which gave Chris a good start. But it was "F-ing Danny Woodhead" who dinked and dunked his way to 11 catches 101 total yards and two touchdowns which resulted in 33.10 points. Woodhead lead the way to victory for Chris. Chris takes a step away from the dice of doom 141.90 - 121.62.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 6

Week 6 recap

Chris (1-5) vs Julian (3-3)

Let’s start with the game of the week. Chris has been hurting for his win and Julian is trying to stay in the playoff race. Bye weeks hit both teams hard this week with 7 total players on the bench with a bye. Julian had 7 players get over double digit scoring this week, but only 5 exceeded their projections. Julian's scoring was led by Andy Dalton and his 3 passing TD performance. He also smartly started Justin Forsett who had been questionable with an injury but came through for a 17.10 point day. His two TE line up saw Rob Gronkowski and Tyler Eifert combine for 27 points, but it was Gronk who couldn't keep up his end of the bargain by coming up short in his projected points. For Julian not one person really stepped up. Everyone was just around average. After weeks of playing around with his lineup, Chris finally hit on the right combination. 7 players hit double digits and 7 players went over their projected points (not all the same players). Chris had three guys go into overtime to also get a few extra points in bonus football time. Greg Olsen and Tom Brady led the way with 26.10 and 23.48 points. Olsen had a dominating game of 7 catches 131 yards and 1 game winning TD. Brady threw for 3 TDs of his own to go along with a 300 yard passing day. Two fill in adds, Kamar Aiken and Ronnie Hillman, both went over their projections with 11.20 and 14.50 respectively. Chris was just a little bit better than Julian in just about every position. Chris even has a new toy to play with have Martavis Bryant back from suspension and putting up 32.50 points on his bench. The league needs to watch out for this team. Chris gets his first win 130.98 - 112.72.

Matt H (6-0) vs Matt M (4-2)

With the battle for first place on the line this matchup had the highest combined score for the week. If you look at each team’s starting lineup they seem pretty even. Matt H has had QB injury trouble so he had to run out Ryan Tannehill this week and got an 18.04 score from him. Matt M has had Drew Brees trouble this season but he still managed to get a 16.68 score. Each team had a high scorer get over 35 points, DeAndre Hopkins (36.80) for Matt H and Devonta Freeman (35.80) for Matt M. Even the second highest scorer for each team was close! Matt H had Cory Ivory (28.60) and Matt M had Keenan Allen (29.70). I could keep the comparisons going. Matt H was let down by his two RBs who combined to score 20 points less than their projected totals. Matt M had two WRs combine to score 17 points less than their projected total. For every position they were neck and neck. Their Defense had a 1 point difference. Their TEs had a 2 point difference. You usually like to see these game come down to Monday Night. You want to see a star receiver go against a star running back to see who will win a match up. But no, this was not like that. This match was determined in the first set of games. Matt H had his kicker, Brandon McManus; get his third straight double digit week. He put up 14 points compared to Matt M, Adam Vinatieri, and 3 points. Matt H wins the kickers duel 141.74 - 133.78. #banthekicker

AJ (3-3) vs Josh (1-5)

In the lowest scoring match up of the week AJ is playing to keep up with playoff contention and Josh is just trying to stay relevant in this league. Josh only saw 3 of his players hit the projected totals this week. His disappointment was lead by his receiving duo that combined for 13.20 points. Both Antonio Brown and Jeremy Maclin each achieved their season low. Carson Palmer had another good not great week 421 yards passing and a TD, but also 2 INTs. Jarvis Landry was ok with a TD 66 total yard and 3 catches. AJ also had 3 players get over their projected totals. His high scorer Aaron Rodgers had another less than stellar day with 255 yards passing and 2 TDs for 19.60 points. AJ flex had a decent day, Eric Decker, with 4 catches for 59 yards and TD. He also lost a fumble, but it was still good enough for 13.90 points. One of this year’s fantasy surprises Gary Barnidge only had 3 catches for 39 yards, but two of them went for TDs and he racked up 18.90 points. Even though it was low scoring this did come down to Monday Night. AJ was holding firm to a 15 point lead and each had one player left. Odell Beckham Jr for AJ and DeMarco Murray for Josh. There may have been some optimism coming from Josh's sideline with news the Beckham might be out, but that quickly vanished with Beckham coming out for warm ups and news saying he is a go. It seemed like both teams on Monday Night wanted AJ to win this match up. Beckham dominated the first drive of the game and scored a TD. That pretty much put the match up out of reach for Josh immediately. Murray did his job by going for 109 yards rushing and a TD and also adding 3 catches for 14 yards. Murray scored a match up high score of 21.30 points. Josh scored the lowest point total of the week and AJ had the lowest point total for a winning team this week. AJ gets the win 108.30 – 95.44.

Rico (4-2) vs Mike (1-5)

Mike is still trying to figure out his lineup, but you can see he is putting the work in. It seems like all the right pieces are there he just need to come up with the right formula. He had big output from Arian Foster who had 112 total yards including 5 catches and a TD for 22.20. Foster’s score was high than any single player on Rico’s roster, and that wasn’t even Mike’s best guy for the day. Calvin Johnson finally showed up this season, in an overtime game he hauled in 6 catches for 166 yard and 1 TD for the games high score of 28.60. Unfortunately for Mike that was all the good news for him. Six out of nine players did not reach their projected total. Shane Vereen, who had a great week last week getting 25 points, could only come up with 1 catch for 6 yards on Monday Night and 1.60 points. Thursday Night Mike had a disappointing performance by Brandin Cooks, who could only get 8.10 points of his projected 15.29. Mike might want to think about activating his number one pick, Andrew Luck scored 27.98 points while sitting on the bench this week, whereas, Eli Manning put up a measly 10.76. Rico, on the other hand, had a great day. It was a pure team effort with not one person taking all the glory. Seven of the nine starters reached their projections. The high scorer was Jimmy Graham who had 8 catches for 140 yards for a season high of 22.00 points. Right behind him was Mark Ingram who on Thursday had 2 rushing TD to go all with 56 total yards. Everyone took care of business for Rico. The one chink in the armor though is at RB with Eddie Lacy hardly showing up to play. His stat line showed 3 rushing yards with 2 catches and 17 yards receiving. Lacy’s 4 points were a quarter of what he was projected. And then there is Julio Jones who only got 6 catches for 93 yards and came up short of his projection of 18.99 points (pathetic). Rico left Alshon Jeffery just sitting on the bench this week who scored a total of 28.70 points. Rico’s winning streak continues 146.20 – 102.26.

Gino (4-2) vs Reuben (3-3)

Reuben was favored to win this matchup by 2 points, but for the second week in a row Gino comes up with the highest score of the week! Gino saw seven of his staters get above their projected totals. His top scorer was Philip Rivers who went crazy on the field throwing for 503 yards and 2 TDs, and nearly missing a third TD at the very end of the game. He brought in 28.12 points. Gino had a pair of WRs, Demaryius Thomas and Allen Robinson, that went over 20 points; and his third WR TY Hilton was .60 away from another 20 points. Matt Forte was also was flirting with 20 points just missing it with 19.90 points, which also cause him to be under his projected score. The one blunder Gino had was he left in TJ Yeldon who didn’t play and gave Gino a 0. It may have been a mistake or maybe he was just took mercy on Reuben. Reuben posted up the second lowest score of the weekend, not even reaching 100 total points. Reuben only had three players over their projections. Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas were the lone bright spots . Each were over 20 points. Reuben’s third player hitting his projection was Mason Crosby, kicker, who got 9.00 points, projected for 8.04. Reuben was let down by his top two picks Le’Veon Bell and AJ Green, who combined for 16.40 points while they were projected for 38.80. Bell had a quiet 88 yard rushing day and Green had a pedestrian 4 catch 36 yard day. Reuben’s highly touted big waiver wire pickup, Charcandrick West, had a tough first day in the spotlight,  39 total yards and lost a fumble which got him a score of 2.90 points. Former fantasy football great, Peyton Manning, had another forgettable performance. Only 290 yards passing with a TD, the 3 INTs killed his day. Manning was 5 points shorts of his projection with a score of 12.60. I guess Gino didn’t feel comfortable going into the Monday Night game with only a 45.12 point lead and Reuben all out of players. So just to be safe he started the Philadelphia Defense and they were awesome. They held the Giants to 7 points, they had 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 2 INTs, and took one of those for a TD. 19.00 points are added to Gino’s total giving him 160.62. Gino gets his first Biggest Blowout of the Week. This is also the second week in a row Reuben is on the losing end of the Biggest Blowout of the Week. Gino crushes 160.62 - 96.50.

Golden Showers Fantasy Football League Week 5

Week 5 Recap

Matt H (5-0) vs Josh (1-4)

Josh had everything lined up this week to take down an undefeated Matt. Two key line up changes by putting Todd Gurley and DeMarco Murray in at RB this week that saw both go over their projected total getting over 32 combined points. Made a trade to get Charles Clay that was needed to give his TE position a chance for points. And finally inserted a red hot Jeremy Maclin who also went over his projected total. Matt was the underdog by four points this week, but he wasn't worried. He knew his studs would go off. DeAndre Hopkins and Dion Lewis combined for over 51 points for him. Matt's QB Tyrod Taylor had another solid game adding 23.36 points, over his projection. There was also disappointment in both lineups. Josh's big TE trade couldn't even get him two points. The TE he traded away got 8 points sitting on a bench. His QB Carson Palmer was hardly in the game. Palmer barely got his projected total but was replaced early because his team was beating the Lions by way too much. Palmer didn't even get enough snaps to qualify for the weekly contest for QBR. Matt saw three players get below there projected points. The disappointing Jeremy Hill is still not impressing the fantasy world this yea, Jordan Matthews kept dropping TDs, and the Colts forgot about Donte Moncrief this week. Like most weeks this match came down to Monday Night. Matt had a 15 point lead, but Josh had his high scoring number one pick Antonio Brown going. No defense had been able to stop him he had just snapped an NFL record streak of games with 5 catches and 50 yards. This win seemed like a lock. But then Mike Vick decided he hates Antonio Brown and never threw him the ball. Brown only scored 7.50 points. Heart breaking for Josh. Matt Squeaks by to remain undefeated 121.26 - 114.24.

Julian (3-2) vs Matt M (4-1)

The rookie, Matthew Miller, coming into this week 5 thinking this fantasy football thing is easy. All of his players have been on fire. Some how he drafted the fantasy MVP, who came out of no where. Knowing him I'm sure he was already writing his victory speech. This week he got a taste of fantasy heart break, and it came in a big way. Matt's first pick and overall stud Jamaal Charles went down with an ACL injury, he is done. Matt also saw another quartet of his players come up short on their projections; Randal Cobb, Micheal Bennett, Vincent Jackson, and Keenan Allen. Allen was the high scorer with only 11.70 points. Not all bad news for Matt. The MVP I was referring to is of course Devonta Freeman who put up another monster game getting 32.70 points. Matt Defense the Packers smacked around the Rams good on Sunday giving him another 23 points. This day belonged to Julian though. His team went off with 6 of his players getting over their projected points. Top scorer Andy Dalton is proving that he is the real thing this year. Julian started his fan favorite Bengals stack have Tyler Eifert  start at TE. this turned out to be a good move because Dalton threw 2 TDs in the game and both were to Eifert, Julian was just hogging all of the Bengals points ( he also started Gio Benard). Julian being the brave man he is started the Jaguars number two receiver and got reward. Allen Hurns went over 100 yards and a TD scoring 22.60 points. Last but not least Justin Forsett had a day with a TD and 170 yards. This match was all Julian who took a 50 plus point lead into Monday Night. Matt had no chance. Julian gives Matt his first loss 160.54 - 121.00.

Gino (3-2) vs AJ (2-3)

In a battle of a couple of two 2-2 teams Gino and AJ both started out hot. AJ, who has been the master of the waiver wire, put up two huge scores from players who the fantasy community are just recognizing. Gary Barnidge has been lighting up the score boards the last few weeks and this one was no differnt. With a dominatng 8 catch, 139 yard, and 1 TD game he nearly hit 5 times his projected target, 27.90 points. Another player that AJ was ahead of the game with was Willie Snead. Snead has turned into a top pass catcher who add 5 catches and 74 yards with a TD to gain 20.10 points. A more common house hold name Odell Beckham Jr did his usual thing and went off on Sunday Night getting AJ 25.40 more points. Gino's morning, or afternoon since he lives a little farther east, was just as high scoring. His stud Matt Forte went over 100 yards and caught a late TD to get 21.90 points. Newly acquired Allen Robinson scored 2 TDs to go along with 7 catches and 72 yards and put up 26.20 points for his monster day. The was some let down between the teams. Gino's top receivers Demaryius Thomas and TY Hilton both could not hit their projections. AJ saw his QB Aaron Rodgers give up 3 turnovers and had a season low of 17.54 points. Also, there is CJ Anderson, who is part of that inept Bronco offense. He only got 6 points from a projected 11. AJ's real killer was his Defense, Houston, who got him a grand total of 0 points. After all of that AJ still took a 13.24 point lead going into Monday Night. But, Gino had his other newly acquired pick ups going. A Charger stack consisting of Philip Rivers and his BFF Antonio Gates. Rivers threw for 365 yards and 2 TDs, and of course those 2 TDs went to Antonio Gates who added 9 catches and 92 yards. Together they combined for 51.80 points and just ran away with the contest. Gino wins with this weeks high score 161.50 - 122.94.

Mike (1-4) vs Reuben (3-2)

Going into week 5 Reuben had his mind on separating himself from the pack. With only one loss up to this point a win would give him a 4-1 record on a clear path to the playoffs. Unfortunately for him his team was popping champagne bottles before the game. Only three players went over their projected points and they barely did it. LeVeon Bell eclipsed his projection by .11 points and this was the high scorer with 22.70 points. Jason Witten couldn’t get half of his points, but it’s not his fault…he has no QB. Emmanuel Sanders went over 100 yards but only went over his projection by 1.75 points, but it’s not his fault either because he has no QB. Too bad for Reuben because the QB is also HIS QB, Peyton Manning. Peyton had another weak game with 266 yards and 2 INTs. That’s it. He scored a grand total of 8.64 points, 10 below his projection. Ameer Abdullah through in another 1.60 points and his free agent Defense the Giants could not contain the resurgent 49ers offense and only scored 2 points. Mike has had a tough start to the season. His QB Andrew Luck hasn’t been 100%. His late round flyers haven’t panned out. He even had a week where a QB and RB combined for 0 points. But you know what…there is still a lot of fight, and heart, and toughness in this kid. He has waited patiently for Arian Foster to return to form, 118 total yards 9 catches and 20.80 points. He searched vigorously on the waiver wire to find Eli Manning to start for him at QB who faced a soft 49ers Defense and through for 441 yards and 3 TD for 29.74 points. He even started the Rams Defense against Aaron Rodgers and the high scoring Packers, but he knew this was the day Rodgers would slip up and give the ball away 3 times and succumb to 2 sacks. And lets not forget he called up Doug Martin from the bench who did nothing but rush for 123 yard and 2 TDs, plus he catch a TD too. You can tell he was so sure of himself he picked up and started Owen Daniels from the inept Bronco offense who laid a goose egg. Mike wins crushing Reuben for the blow out of the week 153.44 - 95.54.

Rico (3-2) vs Chris (0-5)

A rare mid week trade between opponents this week made this match up a little more tense. The trash talking for this game started long ago and continued up until kick off. Rico sent over his QB Tom Brady and RB Danny Woodhead, breaking up his Patriot and Charger connection, to Chris for his two starting RBs Mark Ingram and Eddy Lacy. Once brothers now enemies, these player were now scoring points against the ones who drafted them. Brady had his normal 3 TD 275 yard passing day getting Chris an unfamiliar 25.30 points in the QB spot. Chris saw 6 of his players get over their projected points. New addition to the line up Duke Johnson Jr had 13.70 points. Chris’s has new Patriot stack with Brady and of course his top scorer Stephen Gostkowski. Gostkowski added 15 more points. Rico’s trade was not quite as profitable as he would have hoped. His two new RBs were projected for 31.32 points but could only scratch out 13.90 between them. In Rico’s other trade he sent Philip Rivers for Matt Ryan. Rico, trying to create and offensive stack with Falcons Ryan and his Stud Julio Jones. But just like the RBs it was a little disappointing. Ryan had 3 turnovers and 0 TDs earning him a 8.16 point total, 10 short of his projection. Julio was playing banged up and only had 5 catches for 67 yards, fortunately for Rico, Julio fell on a fumble in the end zone scoring Rico a cheap TD. Rico only had 3 players over their projected totals and the top two scored 22 points each. Julian Edelman had 120 yards on only 4 catches and one of those was a TD. The other is maybe Rico’s most consistent play, the Denver Defense. The Broncos picked up two fumbles and took a pick to the house all while only letting the Raiders score 10 points. The Broncos 22 Defensive points (orange) crushed their projected total of 8.44 points. Rico had a 28.10 point lead going into Sunday Night, but Chris had two more players. Both newly acquired. Larry Donnell had a quiet game most of the night…up until the last drive. Donnell made an uncharacteristic, unbelievable game winning TD catch which shot up his point total to 15.50 points. Chris was within striking distance and it all came down to Monday Night. Danny Woodhead was going in what was believed to be a shootout. Woodhead was averaging 16 points a game and Chris only needed 14.57 to claim his first victory. The Chargers used Woodhead from the beginning and he got a fast 12.60 point start, but after that the Chargers just forgot about him and he didn’t touch the ball the rest of the way. Chris was 1.96 points short of Rico and that elusive victory. Rico dodges a…what’s more dangerous than a bullet? Cannon Ball, Torpedo, Nuke? No. A years long worth of ridicule. Don’t worry Chris you will get another chance at him. Rico wins 113.56 - 111.60.

Golden Showers Week 4

Week 4 Recap

Matt M (4-0) vs Josh (1-3)

Horrible. Just awful. This had to be the most embarrassing effort in all of fantasy football. I mean just think what could have been if things were different. Of course what I am talking about is that Matt started Randall Cobb. He could not even get half of his projected points (pathetic). Everyone else in his starting line exceeded their projections. Matt’s team was led by Devonta Freeman and his 3 TDs for a second week in a row. A late week add in Martellus Bennett piled on 25 points. But this huge out put of points seemed to go to waste. Not because Matt faced a foe that pulled out a total greater then his, no, quite the opposite. Josh rolled out his line up with high hope, but it turned out to be a day he wish he could forget. In the direct inverse of Matt’s lineup Josh only had 1 player reach and exceed his projected total. Good ol’ John Brown led the way with 15.80 points for Josh’s squad. Just to reiterate, Josh saw 8 of his 9 players come up short of their projected totals. It was a rare bad day for the Steelers with Heath Miller and Antonio Brown combining for 10.30 points. Carlos Hyde being plagued by a bad offense which isn’t letting him run only got 3.20 points. Just needed to look towards his bench, which out scored his starters (86.90) by 10 points with only 5 guys. As good as Matt was he could have done better. Vincent Jackson was sitting on his bench with 30.70 point, he probably should get rid of that bum Cobb. Matt wins the most uncompetitive contest ever 181.56 - 76.88.

Reuben (3-1) vs Chris (0-4)

As bad as Josh’s team looked he still outscored Chris’s team. Chris had a tough day only seeing one of his guys get over their projected total. Mark Ingram led his team with 18.80 points. Greg Olsen seemed to disappear, last week he was a monster, this week he was as quiet as a mouse only getting 4.80 points. The usually reliable Marvin Jones, who apparently only catches touchdowns, only had one catch and it was not a touchdown. The big hype this week was for Derek Carr, but he just couldn’t live up to the expectation. Reuben only saw two of his guys reach the projected totals. Led by Le’Veon Bell and his 28 points, Reuben was able to just get enough out his players to get by Chris. AJ Green had an ok game for his standards getting 15.20 points. The second highest scorer was the Carolina Defense which has been the most consistent part of the line up. Reuben and his team are still scoring 100 points a week. Chris on the other is still winless and drastic changes may be on the horizon. Reuben wins a blow out 109.02 - 70.54.

Rico (2-2) vs Julian (2-2)

In one of the closer matches Julian had a good head start by having Justin Forsett getting an early 15 points on Thursday Night. His leading scorers were Pierre Garcon, who added 18.50 points with a late game winning TD in his game, and Chandler Catanzaro, who seemed to kick all the points for the Cardinals in that game. Julian did see let downs by the usually stout Cardinals Defense who could only come up with 1 point against the Rams, and also Darren Sproles who barely saw any action getting only 1.70 points. Rico had his usual high scoring game having 5 of his players get past their projections (two others just miss the projections by .04 and .06). Rico had a Chargers connection that led him in points. Philip Rivers and Danny Woodhead had 26.22 and 17.80 respectively. Rico did see disappointment in his star receiver though. Julio Jones only had 4 catches for 38 yards which equaled to 7.80 points (cut him). At the end of the Sunday day games Rico had a slight 13 point lead with Dan Bailey and Jimmy Graham still to go, while Julian had his QB Russell Wilson left. It wouldn’t be the craziest thing to see Wilson go off and lead Julian to victory. Rico had Bailey get 8 more points Sunday Night to pad his lead to 21 points now. All Julian needed was for Wilson to get over 20 points and not have Jimmy Graham see the ball. Well this almost happened. Jimmy only had 4 catches for 29 yards (cut him). Wilson couldn’t get it done though with 2 fumbles and a lack luster offensive performance he only got 15.48 points, below his projected total. Rico wins a down to the wire match 118.82 - 105.68.

AJ (2-2) vs Mike (0-4)

In what was projected to be the biggest blow out of the week turned out to be a defense struggle. Neither team could really take control and put up those high scores we have been accustomed to see in this league. I really feel the difference might have been when Mike was too busy saving lives and keeping the world safe and forgot to change out and injured Andrew Luck from his lineup. Hey it happens to the best of us. To be fair to AJ though the back up would have been Matthew Stafford and he got smothered by the Seahawks Defense and only got 8.12 points. Another costly reason for Mike’s low out put was Ryan Matthews, who scored big last week but put up a doughnut this week. Now luckily for AJ, this time, Mike last Doug Martin on the bench who had his best game of the year gaining 25.30 points. Not all bad news for Mike, the Rams Defense, Graham Gano, and Travis Benjamin all went over the projected scores. AJ got decent production from his lineup, compared to his opponent, at least everyone score a point. Aaron Rodgers was basically shut down by a strong 49ers Defense and only got 16.26 points, 5 points short of projected. Super stud Odell Beackham Jr couldn’t crack 9 points, and Jordan Reed ended up injuring himself twice in the game only getting have his projection. AJ was led to victory by the pick up of the week in Karlos Williams who surpassed his projection and scored 16 points, and also Justin Tucker kicked for 15 points on Thursday Night. Oh what could have been for Mike if he changed his quarterback…probably not much. AJ wins an interesting match 89.06 - 62.40.

Matt H (4-0) vs Gino (2-2)

This turned out to be the game of the week. Gino was projected to win by 15 and hand Matt his first loss of the season. Matt was already in a hole after watching his top scoring QB Ben Roethlisberger go down last week he had to make a key QB pick up off of waivers. He got Tyrod Taylor who had been lighting the fantasy football world on fire. Unfortunately for Matt Taylor had his lowest output of points for the season. Jordan Matthews and Travis also had underwhelming performances both getting well below their projected totals. Matt did see 5 of his players get above their projections. His team was led by DeAndre Hopkins who added a second straight 100 yard day and Jeremy Hill who woke back up and scored 3 TDs, they scored 24.70 and 24.00 points. 'All Day’ Adrian Peterson was also flirting with another 20 point day. Gino still continues to show us that you score points and win games through the draft, plus so key free agents help I guess. Gino saw 8 of his players get into double digit scoring, 5 of them passing their projections. Charles Clay and Brandon Marshall led the way with 20.10 and 19.80 scores. Cam Newton wasn’t needed much in his game, so they had a disappointing 16.06 points. Both of Gino’s RBs were under the projected targets. Once again we had another contest go down to Monday Night Football. Matt took a slim point lead into the game with still needing to roll out a shaky Seahawks Defense and Gino H=having Steven Hauschka still to kick for the Seahawks. Good thing for Gino the Seahawks haven’t really figures out to score TDs yet so his kicker benefited scoring 11 points for the night. The Seahawks Defense was able to keep the Lions off the scoreboard for the most part but were not getting any extra points with sacks or turnovers. With time winding down Gino has a lead of .40 with the Lions driving. Calvin Johnson of the Lions catches an arrow pattern and is heading straight for the end zone. The touchdown will gaurentee and victory for Gino and knock Matt out of the ranks of the undefeated. Out of no where Kam Chancellor flies in and knocks the ball loose inches from the goal line. The ball goes out of the endzone with a little nudge from KJ Wright for the touchback. Matt gets the point for the fumble recovery and takes a small lead as time expires. Matt wins a thrilling Monday Night comeback to remain undefeated 133.96 - 132.36.
